You guys, I have been renovating for 10 YEARS! They say it takes ten years and 10,000 hours to master something. Well I think it takes a whole lot more because I feel like I am JUST getting started with what I want to accomplish, but I do have a big desire to share what I have learned with you guys! The most asked questions I get are around helping people through their renos. All the questions have me inspired to start a renovation blog series! Would that be helpful to you guys?
I wish I could renovate everyone’s homes and help everyone through their new builds, but there aren’t enough hours in the day…How about the next best thing…maybe even a better thing – I share my best advice, tips, and tricks with you, so you can renovate your own home?! My two favourite things in the universe (besides my kids) are RENOVATING and WRITING…hellrrrr….this is both in one! My fingers and brain are so excited I can’t type fast enough right now!
This past year I’ve had the great honour to help clients from all different walks of renovation life through their projects. I came away with such a better understanding of where your struggles would lay and where you would need support.
I found out first hand you need to PUMP THE BRAKES in the beginning and front end load the planning that’s for sure! I realized I build so much intrinsic planning into my own process that I took it for granted!! I thought everyone must naturally plan like I do. Turns out I plan like a woman possessed because renovating is my PASSION, my VOCATION, My OXYGEN…like a fish to water like on another level obsessed.
This revelation led me to realize that I needed to figure out more systems and strategies to help clients fill in their blanks and understand what I’m seeing and my process. I hope these posts will be a tool for both clients and those who want to do it on their own!
Ok enough talking more renovating! lol!!
