I finally have a big update with loads of progress on our Master Bedroom reno! We had the big window installed and we’ve put up tons of trim in the space. Come see the new window installed and wainscoting updates!

New Window Installed
I broke the window up into 5, in the hopes of making the space feel taller with rectangular windows. I went as big as I possibly could to get as much view on the right side, which is the lake side. I also chose this configuration because it still allows me to put the bed on this wall if I want to. The 3 middle windows fit a kingsize bed with bedside tables under the two outer windows which is perfect, because I love having as many options as possible.
Wainscoting Up a Storm!
I’m trimming out every square inch of this room with wainscoting to make it feel polished and elevated because it felt so plain. I’m so freaking happy I took out the closets! Now every wall is symmetrical, so I’m able to mirror all the wainscoting which makes me so happy!! I love all the interesting angles that are happening now in here. The triangular spots kill me! They are so cool!
New Window Installed and Wainscoting Last Look!
STILL A LOT LEFT TO GO!
Here’s what we still need to do:
- Finish Millwork ( a few wall boxes and do trim on the ceiling)
- Paint- spray the entire room….that will be so exciting!
- Prep, source, and install carpeting
- Hang the light and install all the new plugs
- Figure out Window Coverings
DON’T FORGET TO GO AND CHECK OUT ALL THE ONE ROOM CHALLENGE GUEST PARTICIPANTS ….so many amazing spaces being transformed!
