Hi thanks so much. I ship to Detroit and then bring them back over the border myself. You get charged duty and tax at the border. Including exchange on the money and the tax and duty you are charged at the border I always add half to the price. So if the rug is $200 it will be $300 and then I make my decision if it’s worth it that way. I don’t ship to myself in Canada though. It would be worth trying though and figuring out the cost for sure.

I’m in Toronto and have always been really scared to order rugs from the states because of the big question mark on duties (I feel like they’ll be extra high on rugs for some reason). Have you ever been hit with duty on the rugs? Even if you’re picking them up across the border, you still have to declare them and pay duties, don’t you??
