Hey, Guys! Major update, we decided to go all the way with the demo (no surprise probably!) …here’s the story, we found out the roof was stick framed and that there was epic height in every room and I mean every room…this is literally my dream…I think I’ve been talking and dreaming about “soaring ceilings” since the beginning of time. So here’s what we did: we turned the dining room and our walk-in closet into the kitchen and added an epic vault through the entire thing. We took a small eat-in the kitchen off the back of the house and made that the ensuite…and vaulted it! We vaulted our bedroom ceiling, we took the original kitchen of the house and made it a dining room and gave it a 12 foot ceiling (along with the entry), and we also made this crazy cool vaulted ceiling in Penelope’s bedroom. So in total we added 5 amazing ceilings to the home. Plus it already had an amazing ceiling in the living room when we started…yay! Holy cow was that a process! We are actually way further along than this video, so expect a new update super soon! In real time the drywall is being mudded and taped right now! Eeeep! Shout out to Josh Deneau, our contractor who did all these ceilings with his own hands…omg the math and angles! I very much can’t believe this, as I’m a true procrastinator by nature, but I put up my Christmas trees yesterday…have the million forearm scars to prove it! 🤣 they are just going to be naked trees for a while. My favourite is Matt’s office. I’m almost done that space so I’m excited to share it soon. I did the dumbest thing last week. The @gabbydecor pendants I want for the island went on sale and I got nervous they weren’t the right ones and I didn’t buy them and now the pain of seeing them regular price and knowing they are the rights ones, and that I delayed this mini makeover is legit killing me. How was your weekend?
