It feels so good to finally share our classic white coastal-Hamptons kitchen makeover with you! If you’ve been following our Pentilly Road renovation, It’s been exactly one year since we bought this home and took on a massive to-the-studs and beyond gut-reno. The kitchen was one of the biggest transformations in the entire house!
When we bought this home, the original kitchen was actually where our dining room is now (you can see that reveal here). For the kitchen to truly work for our family, we needed more space and more light… so I did what any renovation-obsessed girl would do: I got creative with the floor plan.
Designing Our White Coastal-Hamptons Kitchen Layout
I’m not kidding I spent hundreds and hundreds of hours figuring out this layout. I went as as far and to fully design two other kitchens with the layout where it was originally in the dining room, and it just never felt like I nailed it. Suddenly, it hit me to steal the space from our walk in closet. So that’s what I did. I relocated the kitchen into what used to be the original dining room and borrowed space from the former primary walk-in closet (don’t worry — the new closet is even better).
From there, we re-engineered the entire ceiling to create the vaulted peak you see now. I’ve always loved soaring ceilings, and this vault completely changed the feeling of the room — suddenly there was height, symmetry, and the perfect place for three polished nickel lanterns to live.

With windows wrapping around the corner and all that light pouring in, it finally felt like the classic coastal-Hamptons kitchen I’d always had in my mind. You should see the panaromic golf course views sitting at the island, or working at the sink.

Cabinetry, Counters & Classic Details
We kept the cabinetry timeless with BM Chantilly Lace. I’ve never used this white before, and I love it! This is the 5th kitchen that I’ve designed and renovated and actually my third kitchen that I designed with Carolyn from Kitchen Korner, and I swear she just gets me like no one else at this point, and nails it every time!
Some of my favourite details include:
- A 6ft full quartz hood centered perfectly on the vaulted peak (that was an undertaking…let me tell you! Thank you so much Designer Countertops for figuring that one out!)
- Corbels under the uppers
- Island posts for that soft, traditional Hamptons feel
- Panel-ready dishwasher and wine fridge
- Hidden storage on both ends of the island
The layout is incredibly functional for our family of four — the island seats all of us, which was a must, and the entire kitchen looks out onto the golf course.

Lighting & Hardware
The three polished nickel lanterns are one of the prettiest parts of the room and something that I saw in all my favourite Hamptons-inspired white kitchens, so I had to include them! They add height, symmetry, and just enough sparkle without feeling fussy.

And the hardware… maybe my favourite detail of all. We used polished nickel hardware with backplates, which instantly creates that elevated, bespoke look.

BLANCO UNIT: Sink, Faucet & Storage
No kitchen reveal is complete without celebrating the one feature I use constantly: our BLANCO INTEOS 39″ workstation sink in white SILGRANIT.
It’s a prep station, serving zone, and storage system in one. The accessories can sit neatly on the sink, by sliding to one side to save space, but can also store beautifully in the storage solution organizer bag under the cabinet (that pulls out like a drawer for easy access!). So, if you look under my sink, I have my cutting board, strainers, and oven-safe prep trays right under there for the easiest access. I also have a pull out cleaning caddy that you can pick up and bring where you need then set back down and store away under the sink.
I chose a pair of The CULINA II faucet in Satin Gold . The tone is a soft, muted gold — not yellow — so it beautifully complements all the polished nickel in the room. A mixed-metal quiet luxury moment.

Because the sink is so wide I could do two faucets, which is such a high end and functional detail that allows two of us to be using the sink at once. So, if I’m doing the dishes, my husband can come over and fill a pot simultaneously, which gives us the functionality of an additional prep sink all in one. The tone is a soft, muted gold — not yellow — so it beautifully complements all the polished nickel in the room. A mixed-metal quiet luxury moment.

The Appliances: Italian Showpieces
We chose the Bertazzoni Heritage Series (straight from Italy), and they bring this beautiful old-world luxury that blends perfectly with all the polished nickel. The handles are absolutely insane, they feel like jewelry for the kitchen…way better than diamonds in my book!
Custom Drapery by Q. Design
The drapery in this room was something I had been dreaming about. I wanted the kitchen to feel like another living space, and the drapery just created so much warmth and softness.
We used:
100% Linen Drapery in Oyster
6” 2-fold pleat
White cotton lining
1⅜” Luxe Polished Nickel hardware with endcaps
All custom measured to hang kissing the floor.
It softens all the cabinetry, frames the views, and adds that finished, tailored look that makes a space feel truly designed.

Coffee and Smoothie Bar
One of my favourite parts of the new layout is the coffee and smoothie bar, with a small sitting area by the front windows. I love the built in beverage fridge and that I opted for a panel instead of seeing the glass. We fill it with a million drinks and I love not see that. On the counter I keep my protein powders and coffee in jars for stylish and quick access. I use them twice a day so it’s so nice to have them right on the counter.
