I’ve made some changes to our home and I’m sharing so many new views right straight through our home that I’ve never shared before! I’ve added a ton of flowers to this airy, bright, feminine summer home tour and I’m excited to share it with you guys! pssst… The biggest updates are the new sofas in our living room!

New Sofas
I finally replaced our old loveseats with the same style because it is my favourite ever, but in a sofa. One of the questions I get asked the most is, where we got our matching loveseats from in this room? I never had a source for you because I bought them on Craigslist. The cushions had become deflated and people are renting out our home for photoshoots, so I thought it would be amazing to have new sofas. They are so much larger and really help to hold the room and guests better. These sofas are the Diana Sofa from The Brick and I have linked them here.
Why these Sofas Always Keep Their Shape
I love this style of sofa because they don’t have back cushions. In my experience with sofas…and I have a lot of experience I promise (six houses each with living rooms and family rooms) back cushions are always getting all worn out, bent out of shape, and needing constant pouffing and rearranging. Once I found this style of sofa I was sold. The tufting maintains its tailored shape through all wear and gives amazing support. The fabric colour is perfect, the linen look is really on trend for an airy, bright home, while totally stain resistant.
Mirrored Console Tables
I also added a pair of mirrored console tables. I love the sparkle from the mirror and I’m keeping table tops very sparse with a couple of vases to feel airy, birght, and feminine. Real or faux blossoms are perfect filler for the jars. In time I’m going to continue to collect more ginger jars to layer below as well. These consoles are from The Brick as well.
View From Living Room to Family Room
Our family room is on the main floor adjacent to the living room. I love having two spaces on the main floor so much. I’m not a basement person at all because I love light so much, but I need somewhere to keep the T.V. and hang out that is separate from the formal living room. It probably sounds different from the way a lot of people live but I did this in our last home, and in the current one we are renovating as well. Two living spaces that function differently on the main floor is a must have for us. The kids hang out and watch t.v. and we work in the living room or read, or have meetings, and then once the kids go to bed we move into the t.v. room and watch something! (Really Matt watches something and I stream Real Housewives or Southern Charm on my laptop!)
Before Shot
I actually found this great before view that matches the view above, so you can see the home before we renovated. The room at the end was a dining room and is now the kitchen.
Airy Bright Feminine Family Room
The biggest change to the family room is the new rug. The pattern is gorgeous with barely there pale blue pineapples! I’m obsessed with it!
Some magnolia branches from the tree in our yard feels so fresh. I have seen that you can get faux though which would be amazing…I have to find some! I’m still loving our fawn accent pillows from my winter home tour.
Shop Our Family Room
Our striped Tula accent chairs, Tula Sofa, and Enna Accent Cabinets are all from The Brick.
Airy Bright Feminine Back Entry
I also added this bench for when you come in the back door. It’s the perfect finishing touch. Just to the left of this bench is the laundry nook. You can see our laundry room reveal by clicking here. We also got a brand new back door. You can see the key pad for our Airbnb guests. We can send them a code…very high tech…way to go husband on that one!
That’s it for now, but I do have two more new bedroom reveals coming and a look at our powder room! Would love if you subscribed! In case you missed it, we have turned this home into a vacation rental. It’s the perfect place for Brides on their wedding weekends totally designed with bright, airy photoshoots in mind, and would be perfect for girls weekends or romantic weekend getaways!

Love the look of this. Do you have a link for the two accent chairs in the front window? They are exactly what I am after.

They are by Selamat…I don’t have a link because they are no longer sold where I got them on Wayfair but search Selamat Cockatoo chairs š
