In this post, I’m showing you how to add coastal chic style to your home, which is so in right now, through faux florals, plants and trees. I was completely able to change the look and feel of my home with new plants and flowers. I started with a romantic glam look and effortlessly updated my home to a coastal chic look just through switching up my faux florals and plants.
This post is sponsored by Décors Veronneau, my absolute favourite spot to shop for artificial florals, plants, and trees! I love that shipping is free for online orders $100 and for my American followers they ship to the US…yay!
I’ve been really inspired by modern coastal designers lately, so I wanted to try decorating with more greenery, plants, and stems in my designs to get a coastal chic look. It’s absolutely a less is more style, which makes it super easy to achieve!
Coastal Chic Recipe: Add hits of rattan and large scale greenery and trees.
Coastal Chic Faux Floral and Palm Stem Mantlescape
I switched out all of my flower arrangements for serene white and blue hydrangeas, echinops, and 3 Arreca palm fronds. I love this clean, breezy look.
From Romantic Glam to Cool Coastal Style
Have a look at how I can switch between two different styles with only changing my faux florals and plants.
If you would like to shop the romantic florals in the pics below, they are all linked in this Spring Home Tour blog post.
Coastal Serene Living Room
To further achieve that coastal chic look, I layered in new block print pillows in fall colours and carried in a few hydrangeas in a vase and added a gorgeous anemone! The green in the faux anemone is just stunning.
Coastal Chic Kitchen
In our kitchen I switched out all of our flowers for huge Arecca Palm Stems like the ones in all my favourite designers homes. So simple to style and such a stunning statement! You only need one in a jar!
On my kitchen counter I tried styling two of the same Arreca Palm Stems in a large glass jug vase. I love this look!
Coastal Breezy Dining Room
I tied our Dining Room into the coastal vibe of the rest of our home by adding Bird of Paradise Leaves to my ginger jars. I love the height that they give and it took two seconds to create the coveted look! These leaves come in a pair and are a steal!
Faux Fiddle Leaf Fig of Dreams!
I am so in love with this new 7′ fiddle leaf fig tree, that I can’t even tell you! It took an empty area of our home and turned it into a fresh focal point that I can’t take my eyes off of!
A Look Back at our Romantic Glam Dining Room
Entry Console Table
The last little update I made was to style a few more Bird of Paradise Leaves in our entry on my wavy rattan console table…a.k.a. my third child! lol!
More New Coastal Vibes
If you’d like to see more of my recent coastal posts, I just revealed our Ensuite Bathroom and our Laundry Room and both are all about the clean breezy coastal vibes infused with faux plants, so please check them out and let me know what you think!
Are you Team Romantic Glam or Coastal Chic?
So which look do you guys prefer?? I’m actually looking forward to mixing both the romantic glam and coastal together and creating some coastal glam faux floral arrangements in the future!

I have been following you for awhile and even though our tastes are different, I love what you have done with all your homes. I really love the backsplash in your present home and wonder what it is. I would like to get it for my kitchen.
Thank you.

Hi Kelly, thank you so much for being here! In our current lake house the backsplash is a 3X6 marble subway tile (so classic!) from Anatolia tile, if you’re local it’s from Hi Neighbor…ask Erik 😉
